Guided by the belief that every life has equal value, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation works to help all people lead healthy, productive lives. In developing countries, we focus on improving people's health and giving them the chance to lift themselves out of hunger and extreme poverty. In the United States, we seek to ensure that all people-especially those with the fewest resources-have access to the opportunities they need to succeed in school and life.

Bridges to Propserity

Bridges to Prosperity uses community footbridge building & training to improve access to schools, clinics & markets. They have programs in Africa, Asia, Central & South America that directly improve the lives of millions living in extreme poverty.

CARE fights poverty in the world's poorest communities. We place focus on working alongside poor women because, equipped with the proper resources, women have the power to help whole families and entire communities escape poverty.

Carolina for Kibera (CFK) is an international organization based in the Kibera slum of Nairobi, Kenya focused on fighting abject poverty and preventing ethnic violence through sports, education, healthcare.

FEED Foundation

The FEED Foundation is a 501c3 organization dedicated to improving the global food system by raising funds and awareness for healthy and sustainable interventions, like international school-feeding and healthier school meals in America.

Five Talents International

Established in 1999, Five Talents International provides funding for business training and thousands of loans, ranging from $50 to $300, using innovative savings and microcredit programs in developing countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Forge

FORGE works with displaced communities in Africa to build the skills and capacities of refugees while they are in refugee camps to help them rebuild their post-conflict communities when they return home.

Freeplay Foundation

The Freeplay Foundation is an internationally acclaimed humanitarian organisation. We transform lives through self-powered and environmentally friendly technologies. We strive to provide the poorest of the poor with access to education, information and energy.

Global Campaign for Education-US

The Global Campaign for Education-US promotes education as a basic human right and mobilizes public pressure on the government and the international community to fulfill their promises to provide free, compulsory public basic education for all people, in particular for children, women, and all disadvantaged, deprived sections of society.

Global Healing Initiative

The Call to Global Healing seeks to bring ethics to public policy for peace, justice and sustainability. CGH was a collaboration of the Utah URI and the United Nations URI Cooperation Circles. CGH was endorsed unanimously by the United Religions Global Assembly in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil by over 400 delegates from 37 countries and over 50 faith traditions in August, 2002.

Grassroots Soccer

Grassroot Soccer is a South Africa-based NGO that integrates the power of soccer with evidence-based HIV prevention and life skills programs that empower African youth with the knowledge, skills, and support to live HIV free.

Hand in Hand Ministires

Hand in Hand Ministries is an international social services organization that provides life's essentials to the poorest of the poor. Programs include HIV/AIDS outreach services, feeding centers, education and scholarship opportunities, home building and repair services. Supplies Over Seas (SOS) a partnership of Hand in Hand Ministries and the Greater Louisville Medical Society, collects and distributes medical supplies and equipment to those in need around the world.

Hope International

HOPE International focuses on alleviating physical and spiritual poverty through microenterprise development. In 14 countries worldwide, HOPE provides savings services, small loans, basic business training and complementary services to entrepreneurs who lack business capital.

International Rescue Committee

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world's worst crises. For over 75 years, when refugees have been forced to flee war, persecution or natural disaster, we have led them to safety and self-reliance.

Islamic Relief

Islamic Relief, a nonprofit international relief and development organization, strives to alleviate suffering, hunger, illiteracy, and diseases worldwide regardless of color, race, religion, or creed, and to provide aid in a compassionate and dignified manner.

Lifewater International

Lifewater International is a Christian nonprofit organization helping communities gain safe water, adequate sanitation, hygiene education, and the knowledge they need to benefit from these resources and pass them on to future generations.

National Peace Corps Association

The National Peace Corps Association is a non-profit organization connecting, informing and engaging returned Peace Corps volunteers, former Peace Corps staff and friends of Peace Corps committed to fostering peace through service, education and advocacy.

Nazarene Compassionate Ministries

Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM) partners with local church congregations and faith-based organizations around the world to clothe, shelter, feed, heal, educate, and live in solidarity with those who suffer under oppression, injustice, violence, poverty, hunger, and disease.

Opportunity International

Opportunity International provides small business loans, savings, insurance and training in basic business practices to people living in chronic poverty. Opportunity serves more than 2.5 million clients in 28 countries in the developing world.

OrphanAid Africa's aim is to support orphans and vulnerable children in Ghana through programs in care reform, education, and development so they can grow up in safe, permanent family settings with appropriate care and protection.

Physicians for Peace

Physicians for Peace is an international private voluntary organization that mobilizes healthcare educators to assist developing nations with unmet medical needs and scarce resources. They create long-term, sustainable, replicable medical programs in these nations.

RESULTS/ RESULTS Educational Fund
