US Legislative Priorities: Agricultural Development and Food Security

Nearly 1.4 billion people around the world continue to live on just over $1 per day, and 900 million people are chronically hungry. In 2008, a global food crisis resulted in instability in various parts of the world. ONE supports legislation to develop a plan for long-term agricultural development and more funds to create a new Emergency Food Assistance Fund.
