Through an integrated campaign combining continuous top and second tier lobbying with ongoing public relations work, engagement by international and German artists, paid media, guerilla actions and giveaways, we thanked German leaders for the ODA increases in 2007 and asked them for another big ODA increase in 2008.
The campaign helped to bring attention to our issues and the promises of key politicians, eventually keeping the political focus on Africa. In close cooperation with other NGOs, we have managed to build up pressure, leading to an ODA budget increase of roughly €800 million.
