Action: 16. Time: 10 minutes. Level of difficulty: Moderate

Have you ever wanted to write a piece for the ONE Blog? Well, here’s your chance. For this week’s ONE Act, we’d like for you to pitch us a blog post idea centered around World Food Day and the fight against world hunger.

In case you’re not familiar with World Food Day, it’s an annual global event to help raise year-round awareness, understanding and action against hunger and its causes. It takes place this year on Sunday, October 16 — however, we’d like to use the day as a springboard for a deeper discussion around the issue, especially on the ONE Blog.

So here’s what you need to do. Using the form below, write two or three sentences answering these questions: What does World Food Day mean to you? How will you contribute to the fight against world hunger?

If you need ideas, head to World Food Day’s website to learn more. And remember, the more personal your pitch is, the better!

Next Friday, ONE’s new media team will review your submissions. The person with the most compelling, inspiring and moving story pitch will get the opportunity to turn it into a piece for the ONE Blog. We’ll contact the winner via email, so don’t forget to include it in the form. Good luck!
