Get to know the man behind the winning T-shirt design: Casey Fearing
Who is Casey Fearing? He’s a musician, a dad, a ONE member, a graphic designer and the winner of ONE’s Next Top T-Shirt. In this interview, the Northfield, Minnesota native talks about the meaning of his design, describes the sound of his band and shares a photo of his baby boy, Finn. So, what does the design mean?
It’s all the different people around the world coming together for one cause, coming together as ONE to help each other.
What’s your day job?
The company I work for is called Ergotron [he's a graphic designer]. I am proud to be employed by them.
What do you do when you’re not graphic designing?
I’m a dad [take a look at his 5-month-old son Finn in the photo below] and a singer/songwriter for a band called James Curry. It sounds a bit like Lucinda Williams, Tom Waits and acoustic Bruce Springsteen, when he was doing his mellower stuff. It’s no “Born in the USA” or anything!

Which ONE issues are most important to you?
I guess it’s AIDS — that was the big one that first struck me. But you, know, ONE is doing a great job, especially their approach.
Do you have any last words of wisdom for your fellow ONE members?
I believe that we have the power to control the world that we live in, so don’t sell yourself short. If you want something done, we have the power to make that happen. Don’t feel helpless or insignificant. And know that you don’t have to do it alone.

Way to go, Casey!!!! It appears that many of the ‘ONE’ members thought it was the choice design for the newest ‘ONE’ shirt. It encompassed all of us, who have a heart for the kind of ‘difference’ we try to make in the world. It really is a great shirt, Casey. I agree with the ‘ONE’ member, who suggested a smaller
