email-wwwToday is World Water Day—and it’s time to celebrate in a big way. So join ONE and Water.org and donate your Twitter and Facebook statuses to help spread the word about clean water.

When you donate your online status using the link above, we’ll post an update on your Facebook or Twitter page for the next six days to raise awareness about water and sanitation in villages such as Mai-ba, Ethiopia. In this remote village high in the northern mountains, villagers used to share remote, seasonal mountain streams with livestock and wild animals. But they don’t have to carrying back-breaking jugs of contaminated water home to their families any more. Now, they can quickly collect clean water from a tap.

So donate your voice and help us celebrate clean, safe water for the people of Mai-ba, as well as 200 million others across the globe who have access to clean water for the very first time. And help us also raise awareness about the 890 million people who still need clean water access around the world.

You choose whether you want to donate your status on Facebook, Twitter or both, and you can even opt to change your Facebook profile picture or Twitter background to help get the word out about water. Donate your status now—and make sure to invite family and friends to join in.

Happy World Water Day!
