ONE is a wonderful concept and accolades for promoting this. I just returned from my third trip through Tanzania leading 3 delegations of US artists in month long workshops on arts business development incorporating women’s gender issue advocacy. The program “Art Exchanges on International Issues for Tanzania” was a US State Department funded grant program over 2 years. 25 Tanzanian women were brought to the US for 4 weeks of additional training and they just graduated on February 24, 2010 at the US Embassy in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

We have set up the Tanzanian Women Artists Network (TZ-WAN) with local branches in six cities: Arusha, Bagamoyo, Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Tanga and Zanzibar. Our emphasis is to empower women through their arts and crafts to develop their business and advocate for women’s rights through their work. Our website is: http://www.artistsoftanzania.org and there is a video link on the home page.

I will pursue ONE more to see how we can connect the women’s network in Tanzania with ONE for the betterment of all people in Africa.

Yes, ONE is a great website for those of us who are trying to support socially-responsible movements to end poverty in the world. Seeds of Blessing’s emphasis is also to empower women through their arts and crafts to develop their business and advocate for women’s rights through their work. Our website is: http://www.usa.seedsofblessing.com and there are video links on the home page that show you how we are working to end poverty. I would encourage anyone who is buying products to buy from a socially-conscience company likes Seeds of Blessing.
