ONE Conference San Francisco!
Coming from as far as Los Angeles, Fresno and Sacramento, 110 ONE members, partners, and new friends attended our ONE conference at the Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco.
Of course the majority of attendees came from the Bay Area, and it’s always exciting to have our members gather in Speaker Pelosi’s district. Speakers included Retired Colonel Steve Richmond, Claire Dougherty from the Elizabeth Glazier Pediatric AIDS Foundation, ONE Deputy Field Director Kim Smith, and policy consultant Larry Nowels whose roots in the Bay Area, and decades of experience in Washington whose unique view point adds to all our work. General members, students and professionals also contributed valuable information during our breakout session.
I’ve already received a number of responses from local and state partner groups, and I’m looking forward to working with everyone to continue building on our momentum in your respective communities. Thanks to all our California members whose courage, passion, and imagination make our grassroots work extraordinary in the great state of California!
