Jonathan Adler, one of the judges of ONE’s Next Top T-shirt writes about the contest. Remember you have just under a week to submit your design, which you can do here.
Have you submitted your T-shirt design yet for ONE’s Next Top T-shirt challenge? I’m over the moon with the prospect of seeing all the FAB designs from ONE members like you. In just one more week, I’ll be picking the top three entries with my fellow judges, which will then be voted on by ONE members, with the winning T-shirt going on sale in time for the holidays. I can’t wait to get mine (fingers crossed they’ll send me one gratis!)
You can see some of the great T-shirt designs already coming in, learn more about the contest, submit your design or tell your creative friends to get involved here.
Here’s just a sample of what’s come in so far:
As a potter, my life changed when I partnered with Aid To Artisans, a non-profit organization that helps artisans in developing countries to expand their markets. I went from simple potter to textile designer, happy chic entrepreneur, and more! I know that helping ONE fight poverty by sharing your creativity can be a powerful experience for you, too.
And the blank T-shirts waiting for your design are already doing good. They’re fair trade certified and 100% organic cotton, grown, spun, knitted and dyed in Africa. All they’re missing is a design that communicates ONE’s mission of bringing people together in a grassroots movement to end global poverty and preventable diseases.
That design—and the joy of using your creativity to make ONE chic and help end poverty—could be yours.
Happy designing,
Jonathan Adler, ONE member

ONE decides that once you submit an “orginal” design – the orginial design or SIMILAR (meaning they can and will potentially copy it is just lame.
ONE should hold themselves to more integrity.
The idea is great but the set up is corrupt. It GOES AGAINST what ONE really stands for.
The contest It sounds very greedy.
The winners should be acknowledged and have some rights to their orginal designs – yet instead ONE is deciding to take it – sell it to make funds from – funds that PAY potential way too high of wages for their corporate side…and by submitting any design – they can have their own artists twist and add and pull a few ideas from them to make it theirs.
I find the idea OK yet the organization of it is really corrupt.
