What are the different actions you are taking than the International Rescue Committee? You are both in my Last Will & Testament. I thot the Bill& Melinda Gates Foundation was more involved in improving the schools here in USA.

October 27, 2009 at 7:28 pm
My reception is sporadic and I am missing a lot of the speech. I hope there is another opportunity to watch the entire event.
October 27, 2009 at 7:28 pm
Thank you for the reassurance. Our media and politicians have this country in such a dismal spiral of doom and gloom, it is no wonder that so many have given up on progress and many have become suspicious of everything and everybody. The number of conspiracy theories available has grown exponentially with our current economy and the lives it has touched. Your dedication to others is a beacon we can all strive for, regardless of our own economic condition.
Again, Thank You!

It’s important not to be overwhelmed by these enormous problems. The solution starts out small and then grows. We start out with easily achieved goals like vaccines, clean water, and then move on to appropriate technologies that will allow people to improve local sanitation, grow appropriate crops, and in general improve the local quality of life with ideas easily sustainable in each environment. It’s important to assess each situation individually and then create solutions for that specific situation. Everyone has the right to a good quality of life and it’s up to those of us with the capacity to help them achieve that quality.
October 27, 2009 at 7:35 pm
God bless the Gates and their generosity to the world’s neediest ! I hope there’s a special place for them and those like them in Heaven. Keep up the good deeds and make the world a better for ALL!!

You must talk to the men also, not just to the women.
I know that in many countries the women are not allow to make decisions about their health choices.
There are too many children who are born unwanted. However, because of religious, cultural or men believes, some women keep having children even if they can’t provide food, health care or education for them.
Of course there are good men all over the world, but some are just following generations of traditions.
October 27, 2009 at 8:01 pm
It’s appreciative that kind hearted people like the Gates will devote so much money and time to the effort of eradicating dis-ease in the world. My question is, will there ever be enough billions to eradicate every new disease that comes? Polio is gone, Tb down diphteria etc all being eradicated by vaccines. What about the next virus that no one knows about yet?Isn’t it more prudent to start NOW educating ourselves about who we are as God’s children and endeavor to understand what that means? This way we can look at ourselves and everyone else in the world from one view, the view Christ Jesus used to heal all diseases and the view an American woman over 130 years ago used to heal many. Her teaching is still being used in many countries; that way of maintainng health does not discriminate. All are ONE.

I would like to thank all that are inspired enough to read the rest of Mrs. Gates letter. It is so important to fight for life everywhere in this world. My wife Linda and I recently celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary with our two Son’s Angelo 18 and Davidde 13 and in Spirit with our daughter Sydney who would be age 21. Sydney was called home with in days after her 19th birthday due to a 35 mph black ice accident while going to visit my sister. Sydney was and continues to be a joy in our life do to the advance medical technologies and access to it in our Great country of America. If it wasn’t for the brilliant men and women of this country we would not have our sons Angelo or Davidde (David) either.
Sydney was born Breech when we lived on Catalina Island and Linda and I had to be flown off the Island to Long beach Hospital where Sydney was delivered after much worry but with the best care in the world just minutes away Sydney lived to fulfill her life . With out this level of care we would not be as happy and fulfilled in our own life, nor would others if Sydney had not ever lived.
Sydney had a secrete….. When the initial shock and horror of seeing our daughters body on the table in the hospital looking as if she was just sleeping. I ask the Doctors if they could Please help others with Sydneys body and the Doctor said ” Mr. Giannola you do not have to make that decision , Sydney made it for herself” At that moment Sydney went from Our little girl to a responsible young adult. Sydney had changed her drivers license just two days before she died to be a full Organ and Tissue donor . In her short life she touched many with her quirky ways and helped 50 people with her gift of herself when she gave her beautiful HEALTHY body to save and improve the lives of others. Please join my family , the Gates family and your Family help save life wherever it is needed. Our son David is also a miracle of medical technologies and Gods Will, but only when we fought for his life. After six heart surgeries at The University of Michigan’s Motts Children’s Hospital under the worlds best Pediatrics heart surgeon
Doctor Edward L. Bove and his very talented team of brilliant men and women (
http://www2.med.umich.edu/healthcenters/provider_profile.cfm?individual_id=11615 ) all this with in Davids first 30 days of Life. Today David is and exceptional Person and student, his brother Angelo, is also a gift to all of us and was accepted with a scholarship to attend case western reserve university at age 17 to study pre- med. Angelo also had medical needs at birth to save his life. Thanks again to America ,it’s people, resources and generosity.
Saving the lives and improving the basic needs in life of mankind are so important to us all. You ever know when the life you save might just save the world. May God bless us all with a chance at this wonderful life he has offered us. We must be our brothers keeper with out exception !!!.
Love from Our family to yours. Salvador, Linda,
(+ Sydney+), Angelo and Davidde Giannola

How can you just video tape that child dying and not do something? Did they just stumble on the family or seek them out?
October 27, 2009 at 8:20 pm
funny how finally the business world is looking at making a difference. it takes someone like Bill to appeal to corporate America.
501(3c’s) have been doing wut he is now doing for years…. with little to no support, no support from the corporate world or politicians. Money does Talks!
October 27, 2009 at 8:20 pm
I am glad that this is not about dumping GMOs in third world countries. I was pleasantly surprised. I also look forward to more information about how the average American can get involved.
October 27, 2009 at 8:20 pm
Very moving, and incredibly inspiring. God bless.
October 27, 2009 at 8:21 pm
Will there be a video we can download in a day or two? That would help with the message! Thanks again for doing all of this!
October 27, 2009 at 8:21 pm
I really like what you are doing.
I would like to get support for Extreme Green Villages worldwide. http://extremegreenvillage.com
Combine SUSTAINABILITY (which means in this case, the ability to survive disasters) with Green, sweat equity and lowest cost and you have a village where everything you are talking about can really have a chance to quickly come into fruition within that village. Medical, education, starting SUSTAINABLE partnerships.
Going from poverty to a SUSTAINABLE middle class for the members of each interconnected Extreme Green Village. Imagine the base of operations Extreme Green Villages could be in all the world.
October 27, 2009 at 8:22 pm
Yes, we can be our brothers keepers. Thank you for all you both do to make that possible. It makes me very proud to be an American .
October 27, 2009 at 8:25 pm
Deeply inspiring call for action to save lives.
October 27, 2009 at 8:25 pm
An interesting presentation. Great and exciting work. Please! keep doing this good work with your optimism. For those of us who have close family members living with HIV/ AIDS also gained some optimism that maybe in our lifetime a vaccine could be develop for the pandemic that has coursed so many death in the developing countries and in the some cities in the developed countries.
I’m also optimistic about the Heath Care development with deceases such as malaria, measles childbirth deaths to name a few your presentation covered.
Thank you, Thank you.
October 27, 2009 at 8:25 pm
So happy to hear that the efforts, time and money sent to poor African countries like Ethiopia and Tanzania are paying off. Thank you Bill and Melinda Gates for your work on this project. The world needs more people like you. Peace.
October 27, 2009 at 8:26 pm
Phenomenal presentation! I’m convinced of the efficacy of the Living Proof Project! Please continue to share these stories!
October 27, 2009 at 8:26 pm
I hope this entire presentation will be available for re-viewing. I am at work and only got to watch snatches. Seems important to share this with others.
October 27, 2009 at 8:26 pm
Anyone who has travelled widely across the earth has the experience of being “graced” and “blessed” in the midst of enormous need.
Thank you for investing all that you do in making a difference for all humanity. May we who are are with you, truly come along and join the march for global health and human dignity. “Unto whom much is given, much is required.”
I for ONE am with you.
October 27, 2009 at 8:26 pm
Amazing! Thank you for this presentation. I’m telling all my friends about it.
October 27, 2009 at 8:26 pm
BRAVO, Bill and Melinda Gates. I am inspi(RED) to spread your message.
October 27, 2009 at 8:26 pm
WOW this was amazing… I didn’t also know that it was a live broadcast till the end… i came in like a half an hour ago… This was so inspiring…
October 27, 2009 at 8:26 pm
I enjoyed the program, however, the feed did not go through very well making it hard to hear the speakers.
October 27, 2009 at 8:27 pm
Great presentation. Thank you for all you do for global health. You are an inspiration
October 27, 2009 at 8:28 pm
that was BRILLANT! def. a moment of inspiration
October 27, 2009 at 8:28 pm
I was very inspired by what they had to say. To think that diseases that we don’t even consider still kill so many people – it’s shameful really. This presentation covered a lot of great topic – I am looking forward to the conversations this will spark.
Reinforces that whether you get to live or die shouldn’t be based on where you were born.
Thanks ONE for broadcasting!
October 27, 2009 at 8:29 pm
Thank You! The world will always be a better place with people like Melinda and Bill Gates. I am more optimistic now than i was before i watched this video. You inspire me to do more with my organization, TEAA–Teachers for East Africa Alumni (www.tea-a.org
October 27, 2009 at 8:29 pm
Absolutely amazing! I feel absolutely energized and excited about sharing the Living Proof of these success stories with everyone I can.
October 27, 2009 at 8:29 pm
This presentation leaves me filled with hope for betterment of the the health of the planet. When we are all healthy and have a ready supply of food and clean water to drink, then we will have more time and resources to devoted to education and that will lead to more people who can help to deal with the problems of the planet. Therein lie many reasons for hope. Thank you.
October 27, 2009 at 8:29 pm
One part that really stood out to me was the addressing the skeptics. Individuals being concerned about growth in world population if more diseases are prevented. Why do western people deserve better health? We don’t.
October 27, 2009 at 8:30 pm
It is our duty members of a compassonate human race to assist anyone and everyone that we possibly can.
October 27, 2009 at 8:30 pm
Inspirational – only got to listen through the population/economics – but that was a marvelous statistic – better health – less need for big families – better education! Thank You!!
October 27, 2009 at 8:30 pm
what an amazing presentation. these stories of living proof aid us in our advocacy and outreach of this work, and the top questions of the skeptics were addressed, the hardest part was watching the baby with malaria die. i so wanted a good ending to that one, but this is reality.
thank you for putting this out there for us to participate, and the email a few minutes ahead of time was helpful for me, as i forgot the time change across the nation. http://www.gatesfoundation.org/livingproofproject/Pages/default.aspx website is already shared on my social network page,
staying close,
sammi in seattle
October 27, 2009 at 8:30 pm
Inspiring! Challenging! A great affirmation of what good things can happen from U.S. investing in foreign aid that helps so tremendously our brothers and sisters around the globe–those who are so very poor and in such need. Thank you to Bill and Melinda Gates.
October 27, 2009 at 8:30 pm
I think it’s great that the two of them are looking positive towards our government and tax payers because at this time we really needed. They told us facts, showed us footage, and charts that showed us what was actually being done. It really opened my eyes to why we’re really doing this One/Make Poverty History campaign for.
October 27, 2009 at 8:30 pm
Let’s change the world one person at the time …
October 27, 2009 at 8:30 pm
Thank you for yanking my chain–I’ve been lazy lately! I will be happy to Share The Proof. Rock on, Gates Foundation! love and peace
October 27, 2009 at 8:31 pm
We can all be philanthropists!
October 27, 2009 at 8:31 pm
This is the first program I’ve seen that gives me hope. I hope it can be replayed on TV for all to see and reignite the spark that is in all of us.
October 27, 2009 at 8:32 pm
This was truly very uplifting and inspiring to see such leaders in the privite sector, truly show what it means and takes to make a difference. That there hasn’t in a very long in this sense been a supportive argument and a call to action to make sure that where we need to be headed in the right direction. For as Bill and Melinda Gates best summed it up “that we are all impatient optimists” and rightfully so to those that have truly taken a call to action and feeling fortunate enough to be able to somehow associate myself with these individuals as far as the direction and not only sharing similar goals but a much needed vision that can be realistically created.
October 27, 2009 at 8:32 pm
The repeated references to the American national response to these global health issues struck me as very powerful. I’m not Melinda or Bill Gates, but as a citizen of this nation I can help, too. I’m not fond of paying my taxes, but seeing how they are used is inspiring.
October 27, 2009 at 8:32 pm
Very inspirational. It’s a joy to see people trying to make the world a better place. Please make the presentation available so we can pass it along and get the word out.
October 27, 2009 at 8:32 pm
1. Waaayyyyyyyyyyy too long. Could have made the point in a 5-minute spot.
2. To what purpose? What are we supposed to do now? (No follow up) Why was this done?
3. The techies and staff did not seem skilled. (Unclear wording, instructions, timing.)
October 27, 2009 at 8:33 pm
Very touching. Mankind will always need help and should be the concerted efforts of all.
October 27, 2009 at 8:33 pm
Unacceptable to give billions of tax-paying dollars for the creation of sophisticated warfare technology, amounts that are gigantic and that subsidize death, but that we cannot as a country give even a tenth of that sum toward the provision of life around the world. I don’t want to get political, I just believe that we give to what we believe in and if we don’t push for an increase in the amount of aid toward healthcare around the globe, then what does that say about us as a society?
I know we are working hard and people that just watched this are doing what we can to make that happen, let’s not give up, let’s not be the society that subsidized death, but not life.
October 27, 2009 at 8:33 pm
I truly enjoyed the presentation! I love the “impatient optimists” factor. It is good to know that what we are doing as a country – helping get these medicines out to those in need who cannot afford it. Thanks to the Gates’. I do believe the Gates Foundation was and still is involved with improving the schools here in the USA as well; but maybe that was not being mentioned because of the ONE campaigns objectives/goals? Not sure…
October 27, 2009 at 8:34 pm
It is very inspiring to asses that not only the needy practice the will to help others that are in the same situation.
Mr. & Mrs Gates are too — Living Proof — If we All do our part regardless of it’s dimension and show the will to do the right thing for Humanity.
We will walk together and advance further towards a more Healthy Future for our future generations.
We all deserve a chance to shine.
Peace.
October 27, 2009 at 8:34 pm
Thank you ONE for getting this webinar link and thanks Bill and Melinda for the inspirational talk.
It can get overwhelming, but it’s great to hear about the progress that has been made and what we need to keep working on.

October 27, 2009 at 8:35 pm
Wiping the tears and I feel great! I am hopeful, I am committed and I will do my part! As a nurse practitioner and doctoral student at Johns Hopkins I will be working on a project to train village health care workers. I will share my stories and I am deeply proud to be an American and live in a country that supports Global Health Thank you Bill and Melinda and thank you ONE.org
October 27, 2009 at 8:35 pm
Great presentation. A lot still needs to be done for Global Health. Bill & Malinda Gates have the resources to help and are doing great service to humanity through their involvement in global health. I recently launched the non-profit Provide Public Health. It is registered in California and we are interested to help in the development of Primary health care for the under-served populations around the world. Our organization is seeking resources to become fully functional. Anyone interested in this initiative can contact us. the contact email is info@providepublichealth.org
October 27, 2009 at 8:35 pm
Great presentation! It is nice to hear some of the positive effects that our tax dollars have contributed to in regards to global health.
It would really be interesting to look back at this presentation in 10 years and see what strides we have made!!

October 27, 2009 at 8:36 pm
We think your methods, approaches and commitment -underpinned with deep empathy for the global person -is truly unparalleled in today’s world. When it seems impossible to begin the process of solving world problems, you two are demonstrating effective leadership in this very difficult environment.
Most people don’t realize how difficult it is to mobilize in a third world country – let alone meet the needs of the people. The enormous cultural, political and social dynamics could easily impede what you are trying to do, but your deep cultural sensitivity – and most importantly your empathy- will continue to guide you.
We love what you are doing, and in a world of so much negative hostility – this kind of hope means a lot.
Thank you,
Larry & Gretel L’Heureux
October 27, 2009 at 8:36 pm
Thank you for sharing the living proof experience. May I ask for a dvd so that I can share the experience with others? I am certain that many people will change their mind about the general conception that the very rich are all snobs. Where would the emerging economies be without the effective support and commitment of Bill and Melinda Gates?
What do I know for sure? I think that Bill and Melinda showed extreme gratitude for the monetary funds with which the US government donates to Global Health issues. Candid and sweet. The question for me is in regards to all the tax payers money that this country has spent in a war that is not even ours. So, we have more money to support military investments vs saving human beings from diseases that could be one day eradicated? Is this the right concept?
Thank you so much for the Melinda’s, Bill’s and Bono’s of the world.
Thank you so very much for allowing me to share this moment.

Let POTUS use this video to tell the world that US is leading in helping other countries. This is powerfull !!
October 27, 2009 at 8:38 pm
Good Bless you guys. Great work. I wish and pray that one day all the money spent on weapons and wars around the world could be chanelled to Golbal health.
October 27, 2009 at 8:39 pm
there are indeed many great results from the US investing in global health. why these are not headline news is beyond me. awareness is walking away from apathy and this it no time for apathy. i’m glad that people in the spotlight are directing their influence to the voiceless. aid however, is only a part of the solution. in order for the impact to sustainable, education must play a part. information and access to information is something that should not be taken lightly, as it is often times the difference between life and death. raise up educators within the community who will teach healthy living, prevention of diseases, or at least what is lacking so that they know exactly what to ask for in times of need. we are by no means finished with aid.
October 27, 2009 at 8:39 pm
That was awesome
Thanks ONE.
October 27, 2009 at 8:41 pm
I think that I will just try to contact or make contact by posting on the website that Bill Gates mentioned in his discussion tonight. It seems that comments are being moderated and mine were not included – but the gentleman that listed his NPO above and an email address were .. so I think I will have better luck if I try to post something elsewhere .. have a good night ..

I started a small orphanage in Axum, Ethiopia (home of the Ark of the Covenant) and am working with groups to help the city with education, solar power, medicine, etc. I cound’t get into the program and hope it will be archived. We need all the help we can get and I am vitally interested in what the Gates have to say. Thanks.

I’d also like to thank everyone here, who took the time to educate themselves by watching the webcast. There are a lot of pieces to the puzzle, and we each can tackle a small part, and get to where we need to be. Doctor’s Without Borders, NothingButNets.org, and many other organizations allow you to make small contributions toward the huge efforts being undertaken every day. We can, and will make a difference. Take the time to keep the pressure on our politicians so they KNOW funding health projects around the world is important to taxpaying voters. So we give up one of those cardboard pizzas we’re so fond of, and save a life? Sounds like a good investment to me.

This is not an American issue or an African issue. This is a Human issue. Thank you for giving a voice to the voiceless, for giving ways and means forward toward the betterment of Humanity.
A chance for a healthy start in life and a decent education is a right for all.
Let’s make the 21st century a century of change, a century of limitless human potential and growth and never lose sight of our humanity as we navigate this era of technology.
Share the Living Proof Project with someone you know. Their story is our Human story.

Other commitments made me forget the time till 7:45, but what I saw and heard from Bill and Melinda impressed me very much. I was unaware of how much has been accomplished in the last decade in the poor countries. The Gates’ have proven that investing one’s money in human beings in need, and helping this world to be a better place to live in entirely, proves to be better than to invest in more “deals” to make more money to put in their pockets ad infinitum, then wondering when they are going to get their next bonuses!
This should inspire all of us, on all income levels, to take part as able in such important and far-reaching goals that the Gates’ have proven to be worthwhile!
October 27, 2009 at 9:11 pm
It’s a shame I lost the audio feed rather quickly; the presentation held such promise.
I wonder if anyone recorded it or perhaps The Gates’ have a transcript available?
Thank you for the opportunity to participate. I’m sure the next one will go more smoothly. And I apologize for my tardiness… computer 101 rerereretraining went into overtime (again).

Great presentation. I have team members in the field around the world and it would be great if this video were posted somewhere. Does anyone have a link? Thanks!

Yes. We’ll get up the video recap when it’s available.

Thank you for your work. I used to work with some scientists who worked on these issues years ago at the National Academy of Scientists. Ironically the department that addressed developing country issues regarding health and environmental issues was done away with by the Academy supposedly for lack of funding. The short-sightedness of either the Academy or Congress who funds a lot of their work along with private foundations.

Thank you Bill and Melinda for showing us living proof the investment we Americans make in global health is paying off and thank you for your extraordinary commitment, compassion and leadership…Live long and prosper…

STraight from another techie. BIll gates and eye, (get it , eye, his favorite picture, he saw with his eye) are at odds. I can’t help pointing out to him that I’m not a statistic nor are these children. The child mortality rate as discussed, increased to 3 billion + and that is iomportant but I cannot help but wonder why that picture. Why the chart? Why not the child with the vaccine? or the mother with the child?
If I really asked he’ll probably say what? I have no dea. Is it because they are still unknown.
Funny thing is that the unknown is so scary that we tend to focus on the known. Knowing that 3 billion kids have died so far this year is important because we don’t know their families personally.
One of the largest organizations is important because the funding is necessary. But, but, but….. can we please employ enough people to know the unknown. To engage with these populations personally and understand not only how to combat their disease but how to impact their lives.
From one partner to another, and I am a Microsoft Partner now, one step closer is knowing that there is another step to travel on a long long road but the good news is that the road eventually ends.
Sincerely

This is a fantastic speech. I think if more people realized that not only can a difference be made in poor countries, but a difference is being made right now they would be more inclined to give personally and support tax payer money going toward developmental aid.

Dear Melinda,
Thank you for the invitation. Unfortunately, even though your email notification was sent at 12:34pm Monday 10/26, It didn’t show up in my inbox until 8:19pm, Mountain Time, more than 3 hours after the online event.
Oh, and can you please ask Bill not to lie in front of Congressional Committees any more about there not being enough qualified technology people in the United States. I am an experienced computer professional with a Masters Degree in Computer Science and have been unable to land an offer for suitable employment for more than 3 years. And I am not alone.

1961 JFK wanted to eradicated poverty. I was born that year. 1970’s USA grown educated, I wanted to do what BILL and MELINDA are doing. EQUALITY is my focus in Hollywood, CA. USA to shine globally. But Hollywood Producers AMPTP have not created content of equality and is one of the ProBLEMS OF hUMAN EQUALITY. We begin EQUALITY as taught or described in illusion by the Hollywood Image industry for the GLOBE. Yes Bill Gates have done it with this message, but until the Native Americans are restored their place in their original SACRED LANDS then we believe and is living proof that USA is truely in pursuit of EQAULITY. Return the LANDS of the Cherokee Nation pre-ANDREW JACKSON $20.00 as a act of good faith cure USA racism and segregation. Yes the leadership of RED, NATIVE AMERICANS is what we want to see in USA Foreign Policy. Government must restore truth, the American Trilogy.

Dear Melinda and Bill/Gates Foundation,
Thank you for sharing this presentation with me and the rest of the American people about the awesome works that you do for others who do not have any means to buy medicines and vaccine for
their childrens. I agree with you that it is tragic to loss a child at a very young age when theirs a possibility that it could have been prevented; it is heartbreaking. I know what parents have to go through when their child is sick. I loss two nephews from waterborne disease/dengue or typhoid fever since their is no adequate medicines at the hospital or perhaps simply that the hospital did not care much because my brother do not have any money to pay for my nephews medicines. I thought even if you do not have any money it is the obligation of the Hospital or Public Hospital to do everything they could to treat their patients with money or not. If they had done this my two nephews would still be alive today. They worst of all is that my two nephews did not survived; yet, the hospital are charging them for my nephews stay in the hospital which is very ironic. They only care for the money but not saving the lives of my two little nephews; who died one after other on consecutive year, one is five years and my other nephew is just a newborn baby. So, yes it is tragic and this happened in the Philippines which the US also give financial aids. I wish that people who have the means to help others will do the same as you both do; to save the lives of others and not being greedy by not giving the aids to the people who needed them the most, especially the poor. I salute you both for your humanitarian works around the World. May God Bless you Always.

I am deeply moved to see the ‘Living Proof’ of US investment in health in the developing world, and as a dual national (British and Nigerian) I would like to say thank you to the US government and thank you to the people of the United States.
Also thank you to Bill and Melinda Gates for publicising this and for the work they are doing.
It is always a good thing when those who have the ability to do something, do it!
I set up an organisation years ago, a foundation to champion the causes that affect children. I was 9 at the time. Being a child musician in Nigeria from age 4 and met children from different backgrounds to mine, heard their stories of what they where going through. Some good ones, some were things I could not have imagined. This moved me to want to do something to make them ‘happy’. I released 3 albums, between age 4 to 16, organised and attended numerous fundraising concerts. Somewhere within that time the foundation was born.
I took time off from the public eye to grow up and so a few years went by. In that time I watched the world become more a more hostile place for young people, from diseases to physical abuse to trafficking…. But wherever and no matter how bad things got the innocence of children still remained. So also is the possibility to give each child a chance, to positively influence themselves, their community and in time turn that dreadful story around.
In the last twelve months I have picked up my foundation’s work and started doing something to positively impact the lives of children. The first project I am running is on education, to encourage and support both formal and informal types of education. By raising an awareness of the importance, to ensure the quality of education the child is being given and also assisting with the affordability of a child’s education.
I have to say the work is much, but I am so looking forward to getting results.
Once again I commend Bill and Melinda Gates for the work they are doing. God Bless You Abundantly.

Water-borne diseases are a big problem in parts of the world such as India, Africa, and parts of South America. India is one of the largest population that suffer from malria, thyphoid and believe it or noy dysentery.
Because these diesaes are uncommon in the United States, people rarely think that it might affect million and even billions but unfornatley, it does. I am thankful that an organisation such as Living Proof choose to partner with ONE to help tackle this as an issue. It is possibly the best choice for them to choose to help reduce the children mortality rate by combating these diseases.

All the best to Bill and Melinda Gates….
IMHO we are managers of our wealth NOT owners i.e. wealth given to us by God should be a tool to improve lives of others and not stashed away which ironically we would not be able utilize ourselves when we die or some Great Recession or Great Depression wipes it out altogether ,,,….
Also, not to forget Warren Buffet for his generosity ..
I wish them all the best in their noble endeavors

I have wasted hours to watch the video. REPEATEDLY, it stops about 13 minutes as Melinda starts to explain Rotavirus.
it would be nice to watch it. Also, it would be even better if it broken done into parts AND you fast forward to specific parts.

Bill and Melinda Gates,
This is a brilliant and most informative presentation. Your generous altruistic commitment to Global Health education plus vaccine research are certainly some of the best investments to be made in battling, and hopefully eradicating, such a multitude of horrific diseases. We all will directly benefit from your effective living proof work. Thank you for your urgent concern and outstanding dedication in leading coordinated progress with major U.S. health organizations toward global health improvements.

Today has been one of encouragement for me. I not only got to watch your presentation but had the opportunity to meet with 2 lovely representatives for Catholic Relief Services. It was very encouraging to see what they have been able to accomplish for global health/hungar world problems as well. They spoke so highly of the Gates Foundation and the many opportunities they have had to work in solving these problems together.
Thank you for all you are doing…please continue to do your part and I will continue to do mine.
God Bless you.

Guys, this is fantastic! I don’t know if you’d like to use my T-shirt concept, red and yellow, black and white we are precious…I have it on my simple “paint program” and its in the wrong format, but if you want to put it into the correct format and use it, you are welcome to. I am sorry I have gotten into an apathetic funk again. I am ready to get recharged and go forward. God Bless You. Deb Glen
