Thanks Chris for this info & opportunity to mention that Agnes Nyamayarwo, the Ugandan AIDS activist who travelled with Bono over a five year period (2002-2007) speaking about HIV/AIDS in Africa & mobilizing support for ONE, was also a presenter at the U2 Conference.
Here is the write-up of her presentation at the U2 Conference – complete with a filmed intro by her friend & fellow AIDS activist, ONE co-founder Bono.
Maybe y’all have heard of him? (smile)

I have always been impressed with and supported the efforts and work of One. I would like to suggest a collaboration on “The Future of Africa” and “The World.” Please watch the following:

It’s great that AWF was at the conference, but YES, LET’s Not forget about an important woman who had has such an IMpact on ONE. That Woman is Agnes NYamayarwo. Agnes was a guest speaker at the U2 conference and as Debbie mentioned a certian someone ( yes you know who we are talking about ) did a video intro to fro her to introduce his HERO. She herself is a bigger rock star ..=)
I would think ONE would have mentioned her as well being she was there from the start. Anyways, It was a true blessing to have Agnes there and to be able to spend time with her while she was in the states.
Please check out her web site to help her and her women out.
