Today millions of people around the world are literally standing up as a demonstration of their commitment to fight for the poorest people in the world. And just as you’d expect, ONE members are getting in on the action. We’ve already reported on a series of events taken place, which you can read about here.

Can’t get onto Stand Up Page to report that over 700 students faculty and staff for Sacred Heart Schools (K-8) Stood Up Against Poverty today.

I am standing up to end poverty. I work with a small village in rural Zambia in the Copperbelt encouraing them to bid community and raise their standard of living

Thanks Chris for this info. I’ll support ONE’s efforts on FB & Twitter this weekend to STAND UP against extreme poverty.
Still, I think it’s important to remind people that extreme poverty is a much more entrenched than what we can do this weekend and that we must continue to work on these issues of economic & moral justice during the entire year if we truly want to reach our goals.
I’ve been gone from the ONE Blog for a few weeks but I’m glad to return.
