Half the Sky does a great job of explaining very clearly what the issues are affecting women around the world, how they affect all of us, and what we can do about it. I think it gains credibility by also discussing the efforts that have NOT been successful. The best part of the book is the guide in the back that gives you "Four Things You Can Do in the Next Ten Minutes." A great catalyst to get you moving when you are wondering how one person can make a difference. I have already tried all four things, and have gotten together with a friend to plan our first fundraising event. A very inspiring book that I will be recommending to all of my friends!
