I am beginning a service project in Seattle, Washington in the USA. I am 17 years old in 1 month and I am a Senior at Bremerton High School. My service project is called Students Serving Seattle and it is to promote a better service to our homeless and less fortunate who were put out on the streets and have been left with nothing and no one. Instead of just giving them everything they "need" and expecting them to get themselves on their feet, I am pushing assistance for them so that they have every tool they need to get on their feet. I know that after being in the situations many of them are, it can be very strenuous and seemingly impossible to get a good life going again. That's where we come in. We will give them the help they need. Every bit of it. The only problem right now is getting on OUR feet with this project. We are looking for support and promotions. I am new to this whole process, but if there is any way that you could possibly help us, it would be greatly appreciated. There are hundreds of homeless within my area that I know would be over-joyed and extremely thankful for any assistance they receive. Have a wonderful afternoon and good luck. Thank you. -Mandi Laxson
