Excellent report on this event for "Day of the African Child" (16 June). I was especially heartened by the progress made in Malawi, Ethiopia and elsewhere around the Continent. That shows that there is a determination within African countries to uplift the lives of women & children to ensure a healthy & positive future for the Continent.

Of course, much more needs to be done on many levels but with efforts like those of H.R. 1410 in Congress, we will continue to work together AS ONE, both in the USA & internationally, until extreme poverty & its insidious consequences are no more.
