Senator Lugar as received Monsanto's financial greasing for most of his career. He is committed to Monsanto, from GM seed, herbicides and pesticides. to BGH. His address to the American Enterprise Institute on July 2, 2008, where Monsanto blatantly sat in the audience and was acknowledged by Senator Lugar, was one of those few miss-steps which exposed the shadowy figure below the water’s surface. It exemplified the extent of comfort Monsanto is beginning to feel with the powerful placement of Monsanto executives into government agencies such as the FDA, EPA, US Chamber of Commerce, even on the Supreme Court. It has taken Monsanto decades to accomplish this, however, they are closer than ever to a position wherein they will threaten the most catastrophic collapse of the free market in world history. That said, it doesn't even speak to the extent of damage to human health, environmental harm and the potential to diminish, if not destroy, the worlds food supply.

I have to agree with Dr. Arbour. At the heart of this plan is support for a company, Monsanto, whose profits totaled over $11 billion last year. They're in it for profit. The World Health Organization and the UN Food and Agricultural Organization have both agreed that this type of "assistance" (using genetically modified organisms - GMOs) is not what poorer countries (nor ours, in my opinion) need in order to become food secure. They need agro-ecological practices that are specific to their different bio-regions, and each community needs some sort of capacity building so that they can learn to help themselves. I have already written my senators urging them to NOT support the Casey-Lugar bill, and you can do the same here: http://act.credoaction.com/campaign/casey_lugar_gmo/?r_by=-2118356-YiZ11Dx&rc=paste
I am surprised that an organization like ONE has not seen through this Monsanto smoke-screen to the real reason for support of this bill. I would like to receive a comment from ONE staff.
Thank you.

What people aren't aware is that these seeds are GENETICALLY MODIFIED which means: they will not reproduce it's kind (has the "suicide gene") unlike heirloom seeds which are planted & reharvested decade after decade. These seeds being given to other countries also must be fertilized with chemicals (part of the packg. deal) which is supplied by Monsanto, internationally. HE has destroyed thousands upon thousands of acres of rich farm lands in Mexico. The de-populatin of the world can be easily carried out by seeding it with devastating affects. This is all part of the New World Order & population control, folks. Don't let these people deceive you into thinking that they are actually doing something good!!! How about helping your OWN country starting w/ the folks in rural Mississippi who have to walk 20 miles to get enough water to even get by! You won't find this on the main stream news media... Check out freespeechtv.org or Link.org. No, I will NOT support your insane bill! How about writing a bill to change our laws BACK to the original Constitution? You know, the ones that were changed without Americans knowledge or consent? You know what we're talking about!!!

A group of us just watched the president's telecast (fri). He is a bully, an egotist and a socialist. Respect the people who voted you into office. Do not vote for his health plan. He is breaking the backs of the middle class.
