Catching up with Al Gore

Last week, ONE member Phillip Williams and his wife had an opportunity to attend an event with former Vice President Al Gore. Phillip told me that not only did they wear their ONE bands in the photo, but that they also gave Vice President Gore a ONE band and he told them that he was aware of ONE and also “a big fan.”

In his speech, Vice President Gore spoke about the world’s poorest people and the urgent action that is needed to create a better and safer world for everyone. He even closed his speech with a quote from Martian Luther King, noteing that “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
