All across the country, ONE members are organizing, calling their senators and asking them to support the Kerry-Lugar amendment that would restore the $4 billion cut to the International Affairs Budget. Here’s an update from some ONE members who are hard at work. Be sure to take action here
Yesterday, Pennsylvania ONE Member Matt Schaeffer helped organize a ONE Call Party at Lebanon Valley College in Annville, PA! Students at LVC understand the importance and magnitude the drastic cuts to the President’s proposal for the International Affairs Budget, currently in place, could have on the world’s most vulnerable. I was able to inform the students that there is a key bi-partisan amendment being offered by Sens. Kerry and Lugar to restore the money cut from the International Affairs Budget. The students immediately leaped into action calling the offices of Pennsylvania Senators Robert Casey and Arlen Specter urging them to support the Kerry-Lugar Amendment. The students joined many PA ONE Members today in responding to this emergency call for action! Let’s keep using our voices to let our elected officials know that saving lives is possible and that it needs to be a budget priority!

ONE members across the country are taking action to save millions of lives! William and Mary students stopped everything to call their senators – even during a night out on campus! Make a night of it with your friends and urge your elected officials to sign on to the Kerry-Lugar Amendment to fully fund the International Affairs Budget! In a small amount of time, ONE members can help in a BIG way!
