Announcing ONE Town Halls with Reps. Nye and Wittman!

I just got back from southeastern Virginia where ONE, in partnership with the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg and Old Dominion University in Norfolk, will host two town halls with congressmen from both sides of the aisle! Congressman Glenn Nye (D, VA-2) will participate in a ONE Town Hall in Norfolk on Tuesday April 7 and in true bipartisan fashion, Congressman Rob Wittman (R, VA-1) will discuss global poverty issues at a ONE Town Hall in Williamsburg the following week on Monday, April 13!

Both congressmen were impressed by the advocacy work of ONE members in their districts. They each have unique perspectives to share on the importance of foreign aid and international development. Congressman Nye served in the State Department as a Foreign Service Officer and worked in the Middle East with the US Agency for International Development. Congressman Wittman serves on the Armed Services Committee and expressed to us the importance of equally funding and promoting development and diplomacy along with defense in US foreign policy.
