Run the Sahara Tonight

RunningtheSahara“Running the Sahara,” a film documenting the four-month journey of three incredible men who ran over 4,300 miles across the entire Sahara Desert, all to raise awareness for clean water in Africa, is currently on tour. Africare, TransAfrica Forum, the African Diaspora for Change, and Water Advocates are sponsoring the next screening of the movie at the American Film Institute, Nehst Studios on March 26 in downtown Silver Spring, MD. Immediately following the film, a reception and panel discussion with renowned experts will discuss how we can make a difference in bringing clean water to Africa.

saharaH20 Africa, one of ONE’s partner organizations, is the beneficiary of “Running the Sahara.” Co-founded by Matt Damon, H2O Africa is creating widespread public awareness of the water crisis in Africa and gathering support for clean water programs in critical areas, including communities along the runners’ route.
