Get on the ONE BlogRecently, Mayor Asmundson of Davis City heard the voices of ONE supporters in California, and supports a city proclamation declaring Davis, CA a ONE City. Her leadership will help save lives in the world’s poorest countries and draw attention to an important movement aimed at ending global extreme poverty.

The Mayor has scheduled Tuesday March 10th, at 6:30, as the time the City Council will vote to confirm the proclamation. Students, Faculty and others will be attending the event.

University of California, Davis students created a movement on campus that has electrified student groups, staff and community to lend their voice for the world’s poor. We are proud to just be ONE part of the quarter of a million California citizens who have also lent their voice to our cause.

We are all working to make the fight against global extreme poverty and disease a top priority. I asked Mayor Asmundson to issue a proclamation in support of the ONE because this simple gesture can bring about change throughout the world. I encourage others to join us in this important movement by signing up now. Let’s have the conversation to change the world and make poverty history!
