Jennifer Lord and I represented the 11th district of Virginia on Friday at a meeting with Congressman Connolly’s staff. Rep. Connolly was just elected in November but he already has a great track record of supporting our issues ever since his days as a congressional aide to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Now he sits on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and has promised to make development a priority. He is also a member of the Budget Committee and we asked that he support and defend President Obama’s proposed increase to the International Affairs account. We felt our meeting was the start of a great relationship between ONE members of the 11th district and our new congressman!
