Congressman Connolly at Your Corner
We caught up with Congressman Connolly (D, VA-11) at the Oakton Public Library for a “Congress at Your Corner” event this weekend.
We were pleased to discover that some members of his staff are also ONE members!
This Friday, ONE members from the 11th district will meet on the Hill with the congressman’s legislative assistant to discuss global poverty issues. Representative Connolly said that he would be “there in spirit” and encouraged us to continue our efforts to raise awareness of extreme poverty and HIV/AIDS, malaria and TB in Africa and elsewhere. He also assured us that as a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee he will make development a priority.
We’re very excited that we have an advocate in the newly-elected Congressman from northern Virginia and his staff!

This Congressman and his office in Prince William County has repeatedly helped me with the IRS. I am poor in this county, permanently disabled. Have had endless, and serious problems with the IRS. The Congressman and his staff, have never hesitated to help, and have resloved my problems. I am so grateful. Important to note, I have asked for help in the past from Senators in Virginia, and never heard from them.
