Meeting with Senator Casey’s Staff
Today Super ONE Volunteer Dan Donmoyer and I visited PA Senator Robert Casey’s office in Harrisburg, PA. Dan delivered a folder that included information on ONE’s issues, PA ONE activity, and a letter requesting an in-district meeting with Senator Casey to staff member Teresa Dennis Deputy Director of Constituent Services.
Dan asked Ms. Dennis to thank Senator Casey for his vote on PEPFAR (the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief) and to please urge him to do everything in his power to ensure Congress exercises its oversight responsibilities with respect to PEPFAR thoroughly and regularly. Dan was also sure to ask Ms. Dennis to thank Senator Casey for submitting questions “On The Record” concerning aid and development during Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s confirmation process. Please take a look at some of the questions from Senator Casey and Secretary of State Clinton’s responses!
PA ONE members did an AMAZING job making the calls to Senator Casey’s offices requesting him to pose questions surrounding aid and development which are now “On the Record”! WAY TO GO PA ONE MEMBERS! The footage seen here shows how easy it is to engage our legislator’s staff in their district offices and requesting an in-district meeting. I encourage more ONE members to do the same!
