As you know, President Obama used his inaugural address to reaffirm his commitment to fighting global poverty and disease—something our members continue to applaud him for. The new White House website goes even further than his address, committing the Obama Administration to doubling foreign assistance in the hope of halving extreme poverty and hunger around the world by 2015.

In order to express our support for President Obama’s commitment to these goals, ONE is encouraging you to thank the President for his ongoing commitment to the fight against global poverty and preventable disease. Of course, with tough budget debates fast approaching, thanking President Obama for his pledges is more than a common courtesy—it’s support he needs to see his vision through to policy.

Already, over 70,000 of you have written notes to the President which we will then deliver to him in 48 hours. In coming days, weeks, and months our support will be critical in ensuring the necessary policies to fight global poverty are enacted.

So if you’ve not yet done so, send your message to the President here and we’ll deliver it for you!

Thank you for your voice

I’m curious Chris, are those messages screened? If I jot a terse little something down, does it get deleted or delivered?

    Thanks for your time.

C’mon Chris, it’s downright rude to ignore people. My presence here, while disturbing to you, should not mar the professionalism that one would suspect you are being held to by those that have allowed you to keep an eye on things here.
