I voted for this cause. They need about 14,000 votes to reach their goal of 50,000, so we can change this world slowly but surely.

Correct this injustice‏

Dear William,

I'm a ONE member, an evangelical minister, and a strong believer in protecting this world and all its inhabitants. In 2007 and 2008, I had the honor of working with Rabbi David Saperstein and a bipartisan group of senators to make sure the first ever comprehensive climate change legislation included provisions to help the world´s poorest people overcome the terrible suffering threatened by a changing global climate.

The legislation we helped with did not become law, but what we fought for is back in the spotlight again as a new climate bill works its way through Congress. Unfortunately, the House version, which passed earlier this summer, falls far short of meeting the needs of those most vulnerable to the devastating effects of climate change. That's why I'm taking action and adding my name to ONE's petition calling on our senators to correct this injustice.

Petition text:

Please ask your leadership to make sure this year’s Senate climate change legislation meets the standard set by last year’s bipartisan Lieberman-Warner climate bill, and allocates 5% of any revenue to begin helping the world’s poorest people overcome the threats posed by climate change.

You can help at the local level, by donating to your local food shelter. I will continue my music career to help the hungry children of the world.

Sincerely,

William Donnelly

I pledge 50% net of this song for food the children in Africa. I pledge 30% net of this song for food the children in America. I pledge 10% net of this song for one.com to continue the good fight. I pledge 10% net of this song for me to continue my mission.

                    “Feed The Dream”

Please feed my dream, Let’s help the children
Bono said it right, Let’s hear their scream

If they’re in plight, Let’s help little children
We’ll work as a team, Please feed the dream

Right to the source, It’ll take its course
There’ll be no recourse, Help those in remorse

Just as it seems, From the light comes a beam
Little fingers twiddlin’, Having fun with no fight

Their eyes show a gleam, They have you in sight
When you help the children, You feed their dream

Bono, if you read this, please help me kindle my spark, for the interest to help African children, till the flame of love burns in Africa, then spreads throughout the world.

I performed U2's "I Still Haven’t Found What I'm Looking For", in Dover, NH, August 30th, 2009, during the 5th week of the "Bay Idol" singing competition, for the North East Seacoast Area. To do my best imitation of Bono, I did online research on him. Bono has a heart for the African children, who die of starvation and lack of medication. "We can't change everything," Bono says, "but we should change the things we can." Bono's sincerity shines throughout the web.

I have a plan to help the children of Africa, Mexico, India, as well as our own children in America who are part of the "Have Nots." I will write a song with the title being "Have Nots,” with 50% of my net profits going to help the children of Africa. I am a songwriter/musician, with over 30 year’s experience, always having wanted to make a difference in this world somehow. I now have a way.

I, William Donnelly, am in a regional singing contest. GOTO: "987thebay.com.".....CLICK on "Bay Idol" icon, CLICK on "CAST YOUR VOTE NOW" in red letters, CLICK in the circle for "William Donnelly." Only one vote per computer. For week #5, you can hear 15 seconds of Bono's "I Still Haven’t Found What I'm Looking For." My plea to not be eliminated from this competition is to be able to help the "Have Nots" throughout the world. Please vote for me each week, and you can send your questions and comments to my e-mail address "bayidol@live.com." I have been donating to "operation rice bowl" for all of my life.

I vow to promote donating to the children of Africa during this "Bay Idol" competition, because at this time, they need us the most. If I win the competition, hopefully by a "landslide," because of the support from all of you who read this, as the first Bay Idol, I will be able to, and vow to donate a portion of all my musical proceeds to help the African children.

Again, Bono, if you read this, please help me kindle my spark, for the interest to help African children, till the flame of love burns in Africa, then spreads throughout the world.

Thank you!

Bono - Why do you embrace and have such a strong relationship with Obama - a man who is unapologetically pro-choice? As a female, I understand sympathizing with a woman's needs for equality and the right to make choices. But the unborn child...who is advocating for the choices and rights of him or her? Whether the unborn child is male, female, black or white....this child has had it's right to be born taken away when a mother chooses to abort. In light of that, why do you say that you like Obama very much and that he is good for the world....knowing that he is working feverishy to lift all restrictions on abortion? If you are for the lives of African's, how can you support a man who does not protect the lives of the unborn? This leads me to think that you do not believe in the Sanctity of Life. If that is the case, please stop promoting your missions in the name of Christ. If you truly love life and want to follow Christ, you cannot be close friends with a man who allows abortion to run rampant...the two do not go together.

To all the members of U2,

From the first time I saw U2 in concert, I instantly knew, they were a band with passion. It was back in 1984 and U2 opened for the J Giles band. Not sure if I spelled that correctly, but that is not the point. A very good friend, who unfortunately is not with us any longer, took me to that concert. I was immediately a fan. He was, the most loving, giving, generous person I've ever known. Had he still been alive, he would have definitely still been a huge fan, and most importantly he would have been trying to SAVE the world! He saved me. Unfortunately I was never able to tell him that. But I know, he knows. Bono, you do so much, for so many people and so many countries, and it only seems like recently you've been recognized for it. Not that, that is a bad thing. As they say, Good Things Will Come to Those who have patience or wait. Not quite sure exactly how it recites. But anyway it finally has.
The United States of America has truly witnessed a historic event. An event I could'nt be prouder to be part of. To me Barack Obama, means hope. When he speaks, I believe that their is hope. He is a combination of Martin Luther King and John F. Kennedy. He is a people person, for the people and when he speaks, you feel his passion. The same as when U2 performs or puts out a new record. There is passion, commitment and strength, in each and every song. Right now, this Country and all other Countries really need this inspiration. The song, "It's a Beautiful Day", will someday turn into, "It's a Beautiful Day, Life, World, Everything".
Thanks for all you and the rest of the band members have done. You have used you success in a possitive way, which benefits so many others. Keep up the GOOD WORK!
Always a Fan,
Dorothy Wysling
