Excellent to hear from you, James. I hope that your encouragement to us will enable more people to call their Congressmen & women regarding this and other action alerts that ONE puts out.

All the Best for 2009.

ALWAYS ONE in the Spirit, debbie :)

I worked in a Senator's office, and I can tell you the Senators really do want to know what is on the minds of their constituents - after all, we're the ones who vote them in or out of office!
The Senator would have a meeting with his receptionist weekly to get a report on what people were calling in about.
The volume of calls really has an impact. The squeakiest wheels get the oil!

Keep up this vital work, ONE!

I called Sen. Boxer's office and spoke with Patrick. I asked him to relay talking point #5,

"Aid Reform
"Please ask Hillary Clinton how she will implement President-elect Obama's commitment to streamline USAID efforts with other foreign assistance programs, and how she will preserve the best elements of our distinct programs in a U.S. foreign aid restructuring process."

Patrick stated he would pass the message along.

Keep the calls coming! They really do make a difference.

Dear One Campaign Blog Authors,

First, this blog is fantastic. I really appreciate the action alerts and the "what were're reading" selections. Might I suggest that you also add a twitter feed? For those of us that would subscribe, we could get action alerts directly to our mobile device and not have to visit the site each day. Just another form of media that might reach a bigger group.

Keep up the great work!
