Before the US presidential election, On Day One asked ONE’s CEO and President David Lane to submit a video about what ONE hopes the next president will accomplish during his term(s) in office. Today we’re happy to announce that his video is one of nine videos selected as one of the favorite poverty ‘ideas’ of the year.
You can watch the video below, and cast your vote for favorite video here. The winner will have their ideas presented to President-elect Barack Obama, and voting ends in 12 days.

this is a great great video, filled with dominant talking points we can use right now through yep, day 1. please note that when you click on the above link to cast your vote, you will need to choose the Poverty icon to get to this video to vote.
thank you David for submitting this and Chris for sharing this here. you’ve hit on all the major points we need to draw on for lobbying this new congress and administration.
i’m not sure how often we can vote, there is only 12 days to cast votes, please consider disseminating this link in social networks and yahoo groups widely.
great work everyone. many ONE staff and volunteers were showcased in the video here, it’s been a fantastic collective proactive effort to come as far as we have. and of late, with the 110th congress winding down and the new administration taking shape, it’s been a season of celebrating hope and progres, that the moonshot is not out of reach . . . . . to me this is certainly an encouragement to collectively hit the ground running with the new administration on day one, though as it shows here, relationships and bridges are already in place. i’m proud of ONE.
staying close,
sammi =)
