My life is really hard on many levels YET I will contunue to support ONE because I know how much poverty sucks. Before the programs to help end AIDS & poverty in our world are cut, I want to see the CEO salaries of those corporations that got the $700 billion cut. Why don't all the naysayers in the ONE blog ever mention cutting the fat cats' salaries? They get the BIG money to prop up their horrible business practices. The powers that be will not admit this. The national debt during this economic crisis will skyrocket over $15 trillion. The very poor in this country will increase dramatically. My point is, unless there is dramatic spending cuts, increase in net tax revenue, we are borrowing into oblivion to fund all these programs and to give economic aid. The US may fall further and harder than any other 235 year old country ever has. Who will help us? Help ourselves first and then help the teeming masses overseas. The USA is functionally bankrupt.
