Thank you Sara! Our efforts in Miami are so successful, in part, because of our dedication to working with the many terrific partners of ONE. When we work together we fulfill the purpose and promise of ONE as an organization of individuals and partners dedicated to achieving the Millennium Development Goals by demonstrating that we have the political will to demand that our politicians live up to our US commitment. A perfect example was our successful campaign to get our 3 Republican congresspersons to cosponsor the Jubilee Act by meeting repeatedly with them along with Jubilee USA, UNA, Haitian Women of Miami, RESULTS, CARE and many ONE members. These same partners, along with many others partner organizations in Miami, demonstrate this strength each year at our Stand Up event by tabling together and enjoying great music with supporters. This year, we were so pleased to have our efforts recognized by the attendance of Anita Sharma, North American Coordinator of the UN Millennium Campaign. We also have fantastic supporters in our headline band, Locos por Juana. Check them out on YouTube!

The “Miami Stand Up” event was a success. I want to thank Sara Paterni also for been our connection with H.Q., which some times it's hard to reach.

We are a very strong group, and we will continue working for ONE.
We hope to have more supporters; we make great connection with a lot of representatives of our community. So we believe that for next year MIAMI it will be a ONE City.

Peace & Love
Thanks Paula.

Thank you, Sara, for such kind words. We are so fortunate to have you here working with us in Miami. It just takes a few people to come together, to get the word out, and to get the community involved.

When I first started volunteering for ONE a few years ago, there were many people who had the same desire to help in this cause, but we just did not know about each other. Somehow, we have been able to unite, and although some have come and gone, they have all added an important part the group, and we have really worked hard to keep the momentum going.

We have so many resources in all of our communities, and oftentimes they are difficult to find. We have been lucky in Miami that we have found each other and have been able to put all of our skills to use. I have met so many new people, worked and supported different organizations, and have truly felt that the effort I have put in is making a difference. I am thankful to ONE for providing me with this opportunity.

I have faith that the people of Wyoming are diverse enough that they all don't think alike and thus, there ARE ONE supporters in that beautiful state.

Try not to stereotype.

The people of Wyoming aren't going to pop up regularly for One.org. They are generally self-sufficient and like most, realize that One.org doesn't have their best interests at heart.

I do hope that once the election is over tomorrow and our campaign does not feel that it has to focus on certain target states to get our message out, that there will be more room for what is happening around our country - in Wyoming and Arkansas and Michigan and Georgia and in all that states that do not regularly show up in the ONE Blog - for ONE and in support of our movement to end AIDS & extreme poverty in the world.

Each ONE of us is important in our movement & we should be reflecting that more in this Blog.

Thanks ONE for a GREAT election season - we all did well !

ALWAYS FOREVER, ONE - debbie :)
