Keeping these promises is very much in America's interest AND we can afford it! Last year he signed <a href="http://www.globalaidsalliance.org/page/-/PDFs/Obama_2008_Pledge.pdf" rel="nofollow">a specific pledge </a>in which he promised to actually provide the funding for AIDS, TB and malaria. He also made specific promises in his responses to the <a href="http://www.aidsvote.org/obama" rel="nofollow">AIDSVote Questionnaire</a>. And, his <a href="http://www.barackobama.com/pdf/issues/Fact_Sheet_Foreign_Policy_Democratization_and_Development_FINAL.pdf" rel="nofollow">plan </a>on global poverty says he will establish a $2 billion Global Education Fund.
