Obama certainly went much further than McCain in making specific commitments that we can hold him to if he is elected. Keeping these promises is very much in America’s interest AND we can afford it! Last year he signed a specific pledge in which he promised to actually provide the funding for AIDS, TB and malaria. He also made specific promises in his responses to the AIDSVote Questionnaire. And, his plan on global poverty says he will establish a $2 billion Global Education Fund.
