Last weekend Bishop Paul Mususu, Executive Director of the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia and representative of the Micah Challenge and Adam Phillips, Co-Chair of Micah Challenge USA visited south Florida to help call on the community to speak out on global poverty.
While here, Bishop Mususu visited with many individuals in the faith community and served as guest speaker at a ONE volunteer recruitment event in Miami. Throughout the weekend, both Adam and Bishop Mususu talked about the deepening effects of poverty and the importance of achieving the Millennium Development Goals.
Their visit not only helped generate excitement with the existing volunteer base but also motivated our new ONE members to engage local leaders in discussions about extreme poverty and global disease in the weeks leading up to the 2008 elections and beyond.
