This weekend, thousands of college students from throughout the state of Pennsylvania walked Benjamin Franklin Parkway in the heart of Center City to get college info, learn about local non-profits, and buy from vendors at Campus Philly College Day. Many sought out the ONE table when they saw others walking around with the white wrist bands.

Lots of students took ONE posters to hang in their new dorm rooms. The majority of those who signed the declaration to lend their voices to the campaign excitedly offered to volunteer for ONE in the future!

In 2008, isn’t the time right for the United States of America to re-focus attentions and resources to aid and assist the needs of our Domestic poor, and finally begin to give less to those in foreign lands?

It’s extraordinary to me that the United States can find $700 billion to save Wall Street and the entire G8 can’t find $25 billion dollars to saved 25,000 children who die every day from preventable diseases.
