will the US explore all diplomatic options before resorting to war as is the case in the middle east. How will either of these candidates lead by example and not to contrive rules and policies as they go along as that has put the Country in a bad light all over the world.

In 2008, isn't the time right for the United States of America to re-focus attentions and resources to aid and assist the needs of our Domestic poor, and finally begin to give less to those in foreign lands?

Perhaps THE question of the night:
Surely a third of the world's population would benefit from economic aid programs for people in extreme poverty who live on less than $2. a day. HOw would our action help us in the United States? What suggestions do you have for people of this country who want to help people of the world gain access to clean water or to help their children to have more food supplies so that they ingest adequate calories a day to grow healthy brains?

I am so disapointed with what Biden said last night about global poverty, when he said he and Obama would have to delay an increase in aid to help children get into school, end malaria, and TB etc. Fact: The cost of helping poor countries is microscopic in size compared to the money needed to address economic and social problems in the US. That's why we can afford to stop disease abroad while **at the same time** helping people here in the US!! Delaying an aid increase makes no sense, since it will produce little savings, and if we wait to address health threats the cost will only be greater later on!!! That includes health threats that Homeland Security has warned about, like drug resistant TB. Biden mentioned the madrassas in Afghanistan -- how is the US going to help Afghanistan and other countries expand access to basic, quality secular education without increasing aid? What he and Obama are saying is penny-wise and pound foolish!

Global poverty more often than not a result of globalism and outside intervention. Although I respect your mission I feel programs like this are unnecessary and show a lack of understanding for the economic emergency our country is in. The United States was not created to be the global police/nanny and can hardly afford to tackle our own problems with poverty. I would hope that people are more concerned with issues here in the US with the economy and corrupt bureaucracies that have our nation on the verge of total collapse.

To heck with people all over the world, we have a bunch of people in the good USA how need who dont want to destroy our culture. We cant afford to be the world's policeman or monther. We have needs at home and cant afford to care for everyone, expecially people that want to attack what we stand for.
