The new version of PEPFAR just passed the House, 303-115!

Now $48 Billion in global AIDS, malaria and TB funding is just one presidential signature away.

    this is great great news. i agree nancy, seeing this bill signed into law, the next and final step. so cool.

    this is one of many hills to climb in the war on poverty, but we can take a pause to punch the air and celebrate that democracy works. i’ve seen how hard the ONE and RESULTS and Bread for the World staffs among other ngo’s have been working on this, and calling the grassroots to action, and it’s a shared victory among millions.

    this indeed will be a Bush legacy. and a shot in the arm for us all that indeed . . . yup, fish can fly! during this administration we’ve seen the foreign aid dollars requested and voted into law evolve from millions into billions. we should all be proud, and encouraged to keep climbing higher.

    I am so glad that this moment came. I may not have many things in common with President Bush but his leadership in this matter is truly wonderful. I have to admire him for continuing in the face of resistance from his own party.
