I am an african american professional.. i have made excellent career advancement in my lifetime. I have run into bias, racism and the like. I am happy and continue to forge ahead.

I am looking to help my son move beyond my accomplishments. I want him to know the american and black american struggle.......and I want him to appreciate how far we have as a country and a people have gotten.

I am looking for him to start public service before he ventures on his own individual quest. I need people and organizations like Senator First and One to shine the light on public service.

Public service and this type of awareness is critical for building that future for our children, Senator First's childiern and the world's children.

Please continue and get more of this in the public spotlight.

Senator Frist, one of the best books i've ever read was Bishop John's The Bishop of Rwanda, on how he and so many in their nation chose the route of forgiveness in lieu of revenge and bitterness concerning the travesty of the genecide 12 years ago. it broke my heart wide open, realizing how petty the grudges against transgressors in my life here can be. i'm glad you had some tender time at the cathedral and at dinner with this good bishop, and thanx for sharing the experience with us.

i had heard of OneHealth Initiative out of Florida and was skeptical about it until i saw it in the light you presented it the way you did, the biological organisms common in the animal world related to of anthrax, bird flu, etc. makes a lot more sense to me now, and how cool that you can help where you are with the health of these great indigenous mammals. science and medicine on the frontline in the war on poverty. yes.

appreciate these reports so much. safe travels to you all.

stay close,
