Global AIDS Vote in the House Today/Tomorrow
July 23rd, 2008 at 10:35 am | posted by Virginia SimmonsLast last week, PEPFAR (the President’s Emergency Plan for PEPFAR Relief) passed the Senate 80-16. Now we need the new version of the legislation to pass the House. If passed, $48 billion dollars will go toward the fight against global AIDS, malaria and TB over the next 5 years.
We expect the House vote today - and we’ll keep you posted here with updates as they roll in.

Call your reps and let them know your position. I have my reps and senators on speed dial. I want them to know they are hearing from me. The senators aids know my name, my voice and my phone number. They must because they quit asking for them and that is a GOOD thing.
