<description>I just want to take a moment and sincerely thank Bob Geldof for all the relentless advocacy for Africa that he has done in his lifetime.

Africa has never been a fad with him. Africa has always engendered in him the most visceral response as he watched people die unnecessarily and he has channeled his absolute disgust with the "powers that be" that allow this to happen into a BRILLIANT social campaign to rebuff their indifference.

So, it does not surprise me that two hours after he landed in Japan after a long flight he was completely focused on the G8 &#38; African issues. I would expect this from Bob. (smile)

He will probably never see this post but if he ever did, I simply want to go on record in my public "thank you" to Bob Geldof and to encourage him to NEVER GIVE IN &#38; NEVER GIVE UP on Afirca.

There are millions of people in the Continent whose futures depend on your voice for them and millions of us around the world that will always be there to support you.
