I am most struck by the "heads" of state that appear in the pictures above. They were some of the thousands that gathered for the demonstrations surrounding the G8 Summit. That is one of the POSITIVE aspects of peaceful demonstrations - they draw media attention to an issue which may otherwise not be getting the media attention that it deserves. These "heads" of state remind me of those that were invited to share the stage with Bob Geldof, Bono and Youssou N'Dour last year in Germany for the concert that took place surrounding the G8 summit.
