If the United States can afford 3 Billion dollars on other countries, WHY not support a " College Education for all in the UNITED STATES ." If we focus on our children and the Future of our Country we can improve the economy and bring back jobs that have been outsourced because we are Educating our children.

Recent charity events have proved that the UNITED STATES has extreme POVERTY and CRIME that we have to DEAL with!

"COME ON PEOPLE" CAHRITY BEGINS at HOME. If we have money for the rest of the WORLD what about us. I am not saying not to give, yet let us protect "OUR BABIES" and "OUR CHILDREN."

It is called, creative restructing of Government dollars. If our Government has THREE BILLION dollars to give away they have THREE BILLION for our children.

Although I believe that we can do it without using tax dollars. Giving Corporations Tax credit and Compaines Tax credit for sponsering kids College and many other ways can turn around our education, poverty, crime, social and economicc issues.

Charity begins at HOME!

Although I understand that education is important in combating poverty and hunger, I am not in support of this campaign. We are not doing a good job in the US of educating our own children in inner cities; we need to address education for minorities and immigrants here! We cannot do everything or be responsible for everything happening in the rest of the world. I fear this is, unfortunately, beyond such good intentions. The causes of poverty in so much of the world are vastly more complex than only access to education. On the other hand, helping to build democracy in Afganistan provided the foundation for improving education to its children. I think the horse needs to be put in front of the cart!

Thanks Virginia for posting this info here in the ONE Blog. I have signed the "Education for All" petition and will share it with as many others as possible to help get this legislation passed through Congress!

Let's hope that many more ONE members will support this effort for the world's poorest people.
