Hello fellow ONE member,
I appreciate Bono speaking out on behalf of the worlds poor and sick. Don’t forget that the number one question asked Obama was “Will you legalize marijuana?”. Think about the benefits that medical cannabis can have on the millions of suffering Africans. I am very disturbed when I hear that UN Police are using international aid money to persecute cannabis growers in Africa and destroy such an important beneficial crop. Bono has enormous influence on UN leaders, and some of the world’s most powerful people. Please don’t think for a moment that by removing cannabis the UN is in any way helping the poor people of Africa or any other continent. This is a grave injustice, and I'm sure the sick and dying Africans effected by such laws would agree. The cannabis plant can help to provide food, clothing, shelter, safe medicine, and eco-friendly fuel. If the One Campaign really wants to help the poor, we should let them grow hemp, and if we must get involved, help them succeed in taking advantage of the many benefits of the hemp industry.
I hope Bono keeps up the good work, and helps to stop the bad work.
Thanx. www.nycamp.org

It is as if Africa is a forgotten continent. I am interested to assemble a team of individual interested in rainwater harvesting projects. We can work one village at a time. Vegetable production, fuel wood and solar energy projects can change the lives of many. I am an extension forester.

I was in Rwanda 4 months ago with a group from my church. The poverty and living conditions were incomprehensible, especially in a region called Bugasera. I am wondering if the president will be visiting this area. It is remote, there is no clean water, no jobs, not all children are in school, the one medical clinic has limited supplies and no clean water, etc., etc. Can you tell me exactly where the president will visit in Rwanda? I think it's wonderful that he's going!

What an amazing opportunity you have to visit Aftrica with the President and First Lady and to see the results of programs, first hand. I look foward to your reporting and commets. As a representative of ONE.org, you are in the unique position of observing the process, in person, iand giving feedback and suggestions to this and the next President, through ONE.or's influence. Best wishes for a successful and informative trip.

I am anticipating your reports from the ground in Africa. I always love to hear the reactions and opinions of people who are actually seeing the aid in Africa and the results that it brings. I hope this trip will bring even more awareness of Africa and cause our presidential candidates to commit to trips in Africa if they win the election. I am praying for a great trip for all of the Americans traveling in Africa with our President. Thank you ONE.org for helping us to be better informed and more compassionate Americans. Thank you for showing us the crisis in Africa.
