McCain Endorses ONE at NH Townhall

At a townhall meeting in Peterborough, NH, on Saturday Senator McCain took the time, with 3 days to go before the primary, to point out ONE’s Matthew Bartlett and give him a couple minutes to talk about ONE and its mission.

McCain’s introduction below, and as captured on C-Span:

“Could I just mention one other thing very quickly to you, in passing? There’s a wonderful organization called ONE, and ONE is composed of over 2 million volunteers. They are young people. There are over 17,000 volunteers in the state of New Hampshire.

They are dedicated to this proposition of HIV/AIDS, of malaria, of all of these other challenges that we face in this world where the lives of millions and millions of people is either shortened or ended because of the failure to provide the help and assistance we need.

I think it’s the essence of America. I think it’s young people volunteering to serve the cause greater than themselves. And we have a representative of ONE here. And whenever they show up, I always allow them a 60-second commercial.

Please, can we hand the microphone over there? And then, welcome.
