Hey Katie - sorry it's taken me a few days to comment here but I wanted to share with you and all the ONE BLOGgers that last Sunday night (21 Oct) I staffed a small ONE / (RED) outreach table at our local UNA-USA annual dinner.

It was a GREAT night with a lot (about eighty) of very nice people, most of them a bit older than me.
We had a lovely dinner and then a guest speaker about global peace issues.

I found this event to be quite interesting and challenging because the majority of the people were older than me (I'm 47 years old).

Normally I'm talking with younger people or people my own age about ONE/ (RED)?EDUN, etc but this was the first time that I had a predominantly older group to speak with.

Although I had to phrase some of my approaches with them a bit ( they had not watched the Live 8 concerts two years ago - smile), I found speaking with a new group of people about ONE / (RED) to be a GREAT experience.

I will be finding more ways to co-ordinate events with our local UNA-USA group during the year to focus on the fulfillment of the MDG's.

Take very good care, everyONE. Blessings will always be around. ~

ALWAYS ONE in the Spirit, debbie :)
