McCain Passes Matthew the Mic

Sen. McCain was in New Hampshire over the weekend, and on Friday night, I went to his town hall meeting in Amherst with some ONE members.

As soon as Sen. McCain walked into the room, he noticed us in our ONE shirts and acknowledged us immediately. Then during the middle the of town hall meeting – completely unannounced – he passed the microphone to me and asked that I talk about the ONE Campaign.

This is when we started rolling…

After, the next woman who asked a question stood up and said “I would like to thank the ONE Campaign for all the work they do” before she started with her own question.

And at the end of the town hall McCain said that the next generation of young Americans are amazing people and doing amazing things for our country like fighting in Iraq or serving in the ONE Campaign and he pointed to me.

By uniting as ONE, we are gaining traction on the campaign trail for the poorest people on Earth!
