Clinton Agrees to Give Global Poverty Speech!
Sen. Clinton came to New Hampshire yesterday and ONE member Melissa Skinner was able to talk with her after she gave a speech in Derry.
Melissa told Sen. Clinton that she is a volunteer for the ONE Campaign and that she had just come back from Africa (with her church group). Melissa went on to say that our nation can save millions of lives in Africa through smart debt relief programs, and through legislation like the Education for All Act.
Sen. Clinton agreed, so Melissa asked her if she would give a global poverty speech – and Hillary said that she would!
She even took a ONE band as she left and I got it all on tape.
Way to go Melissa!

Way to be persistant Melissa. You didn’t let Hillary get away. She tried to give a quick response to you about being part of the One campaign You can tell your heart is in what you believe about helping others. It comes across when you were talking to Hillary.

I will keep an eye out to see if this speech comes. I hope so. This issue is the current generation’s cival rights movement. We just need to light the spark…
