New EDUN-ONE Shirts!!
October 10th, 2007 at 6:21 pm | posted by Virginia SimmonsAt long last, the new 2007 ONE Campaign T-shirts by EDUN have arrived. Pick yours up at the ONE online store today!
EDUN is a socially conscious clothing company launched by Ali Hewson, Bono and NY clothing designer Rogan Gregory. The company’s mission is to create beautiful clothing while fostering sustainable employment in developing countries.
Just like last year’s, these comfy and fashionable shirts are made in Lesotho, Africa, of 100% African cotton.
Importantly, $10 of every purchase goes to the ALAFA (Apparel Lesotho Alliance to Fight AIDS) Fund, which provides life-saving AIDS treatment to factory workers and their family members. Since 2006, ALAFA has helped 45,000 Lesotho apparel workers fight back against an AIDS pandemic which claims roughly 2,300 lives in the Lesotho apparel industry every year.
By purchasing a ONE Campaign T-shirt by EDUN, you’re bringing trade to one of the poorest countries in the world, helping to fight HIV/AIDS, and promoting a cause that matters. Not shabby for a T-shirt.

Hey Virginia - thanks so much for posting this about the new EDUN ONE t-shirts!
They are GREAT (especially with the fingerprint on the Continent of Africa) and will hopefully raise a LOT of money for ALAFA because the need to help Lesotho is so immense.
I have already orde(red) ONE of these tees (the black one) and I can’t wait to receive it.~
THANK YOU, BONO & ALI, and thank you ONE for staying with the People of Lesotho who are valiantly struggling against HIV/AIDS and extreme poverty in their tiny mountain kingdom.
With EDUN’s and EDUN LIVE’S continued support of them, the People of Lesotho have a much better chance of overcoming the challenges which are all around them.
Take very good care of each other, my friends. Blessings abound - just look around!
ALWAYS FOREVER, ONE - debbie

These are great shirts. I’ve traveled to Lesotho twice and did a little bit of AIDS work there in 2005 with the Lesotho Children’s Counseling Unit and SOS Children’s Village. I was invited to speak with a HIV support group while there as well and visited the HIV/AIDS clinic in Leribe. Amazing people living in incredibly challengin condition. I’m really happy to see that someone’s focussing on Lesotho. Thank you.
Peace
