McCandid with McCain
Sen. McCain was in New Hampshire this weekend and ONE’s Marine Michael Castaldo was there with student Maria Gonzales. They sent me this picture and blog! Very exciting! Go Michael and Maria…go ONE!
“Wow too much to type! We were there early enough to get front row seats.First, Sen. McCain told me how great it was to see me again! Then Sen. McCain gave ONE a huge shout out before asking Maria to stand and speak about the ONE campaign. She did great! I thanked him for inviting those kids on stage in Iowa. He then talked about reform of the Farm Bill and other fair trade issues.
On the down side – Johnny caught me by surprise and by the time I had video rolling it was just Maria speaking – and I missed the first part of her response to his request. And when it was time for the formal pic – he said “okay I will take one more photo – with the ugly one and the beautiful one”. Sen. McCain loves teasing Marines…”
