I know that this is off the front page of the ONE blog by now but I just want to say just how proud I felt last Thursday night sitting in the audience watching Bono and DATA receive the Liberty medal Award.

As ONE of the early supporters of our movement to end extreme poverty, I attended the very first DATA event on the "Heart of America" tour back in Dec. 2002 and I have remained a faithful supporter and volunteer of our movement until extreme poverty is no more.

As always, Bono was personally engaging and naturally charming - both on and off stage. And his speech was perfect for the occasion.

So THANK YOU, BONO & DATA. Your leadership has given us ONE to be the grassroots movement to be a voice for Africa's Future and to end extreme poverty in our world.

We couldn't have been as successful as we are without you.~

Take very good care of each other. Blessings are always around.

ALWAYS FOREVER, ONE - debbie :)

As always inspired by Bono's words and plain call to action. His work is an inspiration to me.

" So what, then, are we willing to pledge?" What are we willing to give..how much of ourselves?. Although my work calls me to a different country I feel a solidarity with the message. Thank you Bono and Data for the your compassion and action
