How can we get this man elected? The first one of the candidates i have seen who is funny, passionate, and full of lovingkindness. How can these traits run our beloved country? With power and heart--checked and balanced by the old types sitting still--new energy new blood into that White House and Capitol building....how can we do it? I'll vote for him!?! s

I like Kucinich's stance in favor of human rights, giving everyone access to water, food, etc. while promoting peace and ending our financing government that use child soldiers etc.

The problem is that that is an appeal to the heart and soul of liberal values. He is saying, in short, that we can build a "new world," a better world. Many people disagree. They just don't care what happens in other countries if its going to potentially threaten their wealth or even if they feel it'll cost them a few tax dollars that they will more than recoupe from good trade policies in the long run.

Republicans and less liberal Democrats may claim to endorse human rights, ONE, and other movements, but the fact of the matter is that most of the candidates running for president voted for bills that funded the use of child soldiers, that left billions without clean water and sanitation, and that promoted bad trade policies (e.g. the 2007 Farm Bill).

ONE isn't about building a new world or a good world. Its about taking one tiny step forward and showing how difficult it can be just to make sure everyone gets a bite to eat every day because of vested interests and bad ideas that block progress. And it's doing it in a miraculous bi-partisan way, by changing the rhetoric of the debate so that Republicans, despite their traditional and continued philosophical opposition to the ONE agenda.
